A Syrian Youth was Stabbed to Death by Turkish Citizens

The Turkish authorities arrested two suspects accused of stabbing the Syrian young man, “Sultan Al-Musa”, who is from the city of Tabqa in the countryside of Raqqa.

A video clip from a security camera documented the moment the 26-year-old was killed on 3/8/2022, who appeared standing with several young men and arguing before the young man escaped and the rest followed him.While escaping, he hits the back of a parked car Then others attack him.

According to the statement issued by the Istanbul Police Department at the time, police teams were sent to the scene of the accident based on information that a person was injured by a knife by 3 suspects in front of a house in Sultan Selim Mahalsi, and the security men began conducting investigations to uncover the circumstances of the crime.

The young Sultan was taken to the Şişli Hamidiye Training and Research Hospital in Sariyer Serantepe by ambulance, but he died on Saturday due to a broken neck and paralysis in the lower chest.

Turkish media, including the hurriyet newspaper, claimed that the dead young man used the phone of one of the perpetrators and ran away with it. During his escape, he lost his balance and hit his head with the stopped vehicle and fell to the ground, severely injured before being stabbed to death by the three people.

This comes in light of the increasing campaigns of hatred and incitement led by opposition political figures in Turkey against refugees.
