Ahmed said that he heard the words of the Turkish citizens, which prompted him to intervene, because he already wanted to talk about the reality of the Syrians.

Ahmed Kanjo expressed his thanks for the wide campaign of sympathy for him, calling on the Syrians to hold on to hope and “show their good image and maintain their good spirit no matter what happens to them.”

“I’m a human”

During the conversation, Turkish citizens tried to blame the Syrian refugees in Turkey for economic and other problems. At that time, the young Syrian Ahmed Kanjo intervened and talked about his living conditions and everything he went through during his life as a Syrian refugee in Turkey.

During his response to false information about the Syrians and their correction, Ahmed was subjected to a racist attack, and harassment by some of those present who described him as a beggar and others described the Syrians as eating the money of the Turks, and others demanded that he leave to his country, to respond to them one by one and refute the allegations and the wrong information.

Ahmed tried to convey a message to those present that what is happening in Syria is not a conventional war, and said that “the president, the army and the police in Syria are the ones who kill us and throw missiles and bombs at us.”
