The Turkish police in Istanbul arrested a Turkish citizen who attacked a group of Syrians and Arabs who were singing in Taksim Square two days ago, insulting them and asking them to return to their country.
The so-called (Abdulkadir Ojak) published on his YouTube channel yesterday, Saturday, a video recording showing the moment of his arrest in a police car while he was handcuffed, on the way to the police station. according to his claim.
In another video recording in front of the court, he said that “the police detained him for a day and a half, and released him after taking his statements.” He added, “The public prosecutor treated him like one of his sons, and told him we understand what you did, but there is no need for you to do such things, as there is law and order in this country.”
He stated that “his arrest by the police was due to the video in which he appeared attacking the Syrians.” Expressing his dissatisfaction with the police arresting him, he said, “Is it reasonable that you arrest a citizen who defended his country and seeks to protect his homeland?”.
Meeting with Umit Ozdag
In another video recording, the so-called (Abdulkadir Ocak) appeared, and said that “Syrian refugees do not have the right to celebrate and raise their flag, because here is Turkey.” Considering that “Syrians, Iraqis, Lebanese, Algerians and Tunisians have turned the Taksim area in Istanbul into a place of prostitution.”
He described the presence of refugees in Turkey as a “silent occupation” of his country. Claiming that “refugees sell their homelands and come to Turkey, disturb citizens, and harass women and girls.”
He appealed to the head of the Zafer party, Umit Ozdag, who is known for his hostility to refugees, and said that he wanted to hold a meeting with him as soon as possible.

Ocak published on his YouTube channel a video entitled (Here is Turkey), in which he appeared as he stormed a gathering of Syrians and Arabs in the Taksim area of Istanbul, where he took off his shirt, and shouted at them, “Disperse, do not gather here, here is Turkey, go to your country.”
He called out at the top of his voice, “Turks, do you not have mothers, sisters and daughters for whom you fear? where are you”. He began cursing the Syrians, Iraqis and Lebanese next to him, saying, “This is Turkey, not Iraq or Syria.”
