A new Turkish party enters the anti-refugee line: We will send them to their country for a thousand dollars

A new political party has entered the anti-Syrian line in Turkey, vowing to return them to their country for a thousand dollars per person and to withdraw citizenship from those who obtained it.

The head of the Turkish “Genç Party”, Cem Ozan, who resides in France, announced a new plan to return Syrian refugees to their country, by offering material incentives amounting to one thousand dollars per person.
Ozan said in an interview on Babala satellite channel that “residency permits (for Syrian refugees) will be canceled and we will provide an incentive of $1,000 for the individual and guarantee his return to his country.”

A financial opportunity will be provided.
Ozan noted that the citizenship granted to illegal immigrants can be restored, saying: “The citizenship obtained later can be restored anywhere in the world. Currently, the citizenship granted to Syrians will be revoked. Their residence permits will be canceled and they will be encouraged to return to their countries by presenting financial incentives for them.

Sending 6 million people by bus is not realistic.
“Saying that I will send 6 million people by filling trains and buses in today’s world is an illusion,” Ozan said.
“We will give an incentive of 4,000 dollars to a family of four, or 1,000 dollars per person, and thus we will make them go home,” he added.

He continued, “I don’t know if this will solve the problem of the presence of 6 million Syrians in Turkey, but I think it will solve the problem of a large part of them.”

A new wave of Syrian immigration
The tone of voices opposing the presence of Syrian refugees in Turkey has increased with the approach of the elections, and the opposition is using them as a card to pressure the government and as a means to influence public opinion in the country.
During the past few days, video clips showed many factories and workshops, especially sewing, which are almost empty of Syrian workers after the second wave of Syrian immigration and as a result of the racism and pressure they are exposed to in Turkey.

The head of the Zefer Party, “Umit Ozdag”, had launched a large campaign to collect signatures from Turkish citizens with the aim of expelling the Syrians and returning them to their country, despite international warnings of the danger of doing such an act and the resulting exposure of many children, women and men to arrest and torture in Assad’s prisons and detention centers .
