Extremists Attack A Mosque And Threaten To Kill Turks In Germany

A racist threat message to the “Mawlana” mosque in Germany: We will kill all Turks

The “Mawlana” mosque in the German city of Barnstorf was subjected to a racist attack by unknown extremists.
This message was left on Friday in the mosque run by the organization “National Vision for the Islamic Community”, a message of hate and racism against Muslims and Turks.
“We will kill all of you Turks,” the letter signed with “NSU 2.0,” which stands for the National Socialist (NSU) underground terrorist organization.

The Maulana mosque was also the target of attacks last April, and a racist threatening letter was sent to it.
In Germany, where racist threats are frequent, there were 662 attacks targeting Muslims and mosques last year.
In October 2020, the German police stormed the Maulana Mosque, one of the oldest mosques in the German capital, Berlin, and the operation coincided with the Muslims performing the dawn prayer, during which the police officers trampled the prayer rugs with their shoes, which sparked criticism of Muslims and the mosque management.
At the time, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan condemned the incident, saying that it was “racist, anti-Islam, and brings Europe closer to the Middle Ages.”
Head of Religious Affairs Professor Ali Erbash said: “Especially in Europe we are witnessing that the language of hatred resulting from Islamophobia is also supported by the official authorities. This discriminatory and disrespectful treatment of Muslims cannot be accepted under any pretext!”
In recent years, Germany has witnessed an escalation of the phenomenon of “Islamophobia”, due to the propaganda machine of the far-right movements and parties in the country.
Germany, with a population of 81 million people, has the second largest Muslim population in Western Europe after France, with 4.7 million Muslims, including about 3 million of Turkish origin.
