Racial Insults against Syrian Children in Germany
Racist insults against Syrian children in Germany and various cases of racist abuse continue to increase in Germany.
Last May, the German authorities announced the opening of an investigation after a man made racist insults and threatened to kill two Syrian children in the western German city of Kassel. In a statement, police said the unidentified suspect approached the two children, a 13-year-old girl and her 3-year-old brother, while they were walking on a street near a park in Frasenweg.
The police added that the man shouted at the children because they had become too noisy, then racially abused them, insulted minors, and repeatedly threatened them with death. According to (Anadolu Agency).
Germany has seen an increase in racism and xenophobia in recent years, spurred by propaganda from far-right groups and parties, including the main opposition party Alternative for Germany.
