Syrians stranded in Serbia issue a distress call to enter the European Union
Syrian refugees stranded in Serbia have launched distress calls to help them enter the European Union, according to Der Standard newspaper.
The newspaper added: “Twenty Syrian asylum seekers, who have been stuck for years in Serbia within the border triangle with Hungary and Romania, have launched appeals to be allowed to enter the European Union.”
The newspaper said: “The asylum seekers, who hail from Idlib, Ariha and Afrin, are staying inside a destroyed concrete building on the outskirts of the Serbian town of Magdan.”
It is noteworthy that most European countries have begun in the past few years to adopt a more racist and strict policy against refugees in order to prevent their arrival to their lands.
It is noteworthy that the massacres committed by the Assad regime against civilians in Syria, pushed thousands of Syrians to undertake a difficult and dangerous asylum journey to escape the terrorism and oppression of the regime and its supporters.
