The Racist Bolu Mayor New Scandal! Billboard by Tanju Özcan Against Refugees

The mayor of Bolu is still continuing his racist actions against the refugees who fled war and death to take refuge in Turkey and chose to reside in the Turkish city of Bolu.

The racist Mayor of Bolu hung a billboard in Turkish and Arabic entitled “The Last Call from Bolu Municipality to Asylum Seekers .“ Tanju Özcan targeted refugees fleeing war and death and asked them to leave,  as it was  written in the billboard, “We don’t want you to go back to your country.“

On the billboard titled “Last Call from Bolu Municipality for Temporary Refugees” written in Turkish and Arabic, with Tangu Ozkan’s name written on it, “I appeal to temporary asylum seekers; you said you came to our country as a guest 11 years ago. The Turkish nation has protected you for years with its resources. Your stay has gone on for too long. You see the economic depression in our country. Our youth are unemployed and families are living below the poverty line. In these circumstances, we no longer have bread and water to share with you. It’s time to go as you came. You are no longer wanted, go back to your country.”

The mayor of Bolu, affiliated with the opposition CHP party, had previously announced racist policies against refugees, including raising water prices and marriage procedures for refugees residing in the Turkish city of Bolu.
