The Turkish Street’s Reaction to the Movie “The Silent Invasion”
A few days ago, a short film was published, entitled “The Silent Invasion”, directed against foreigners in Turkey, accusing them of invading Turkey. This film received mixed reactions. While the opposition parties adopted and supported this film, there was a rejection from the citizens on the other side. In an interview with a number of citizens in the street about the film, the spokeswoman asked, Do you think that Turkey is being invaded?
We do not think so. In sum, we are 83 million and the number of guests (refugees) is only 3 million, and this does not constitute any issue for us.. A hundred years ago we lived together.. Like our compatriots who went abroad and lived there in Germany and elsewhere.. In the end. Here we are a majority and we do not believe that our country is being invaded.
-Do you have a Syrian neighbor?
Yes, we have neighbors from Syria in the same building.. We are happy with them and we love them, and we have no problems with them.
– Are they bothering you?
No, none of this happened.
It is worth noting that the head of the Zafar Party, Umit Ozdag, admitted funding the film and considered it an achievement in his political life.
