They Closed Her Shop Because Of Her Black Skin

Some of the security personnel of the Ankara Municipality closed a cafe belonging to a naturalized Turkish citizen, who is of Somali origin, in the Qizil-i district in the center of the capital, Ankara.

In the clip, some security personnel appeared covering the Kafi board in white, claiming that the colors resembled the colors of the logo of an organization that Turkey classifies as a terrorist organization.

The Turkish citizen objected, saying: Is working here legally becoming a crime, I am a Turkish citizen and I cannot work here, why is this happening against me, is it because my skin is black! This is how my Lord created me.

The citizens who gathered at the scene of the accident expressed their rejection of this behavior and considered it a wrong racist behavior.

Activists on social media reported the news and considered this racist behavior as a result of the incitement and hate speech broadcast by some opposition figures against foreigners residing in Turkey.
