Turkish Citizen Accused Syrian Refugees of Assaulting his Friend Just to have Fun!

Turkish police arrest a citizen for inciting against Syrian refugees

Turkish media reported that the police had arrested a Turkish citizen in Konya, southern Turkey, on charges of “inciting” against Syrian refugees.

The arrest of the Turkish citizen, Mehmet Bashir, came after he posted a picture on social media. It shows his friend who underwent a nose surgery in the southern Turkish state of Konya, and claims that he was beaten and blackmailed by Syrian refugees.

Bashir, an electronics engineer, commented on his friend’s photo, saying: “Asylum seekers and fugitives. Blackmailing, stabbing and killing Turkish citizens in Konya, Mehmet Emre Baruni was blackmailed by 3 Syrians in Konya, and beaten to death. Keep hiding these absurdities from the public, because you are the real enemy of the Turks.”

According to the publication, the Turkish police contacted the young man, whose photo was spread. He stated that he was not beaten or blackmailed in any way, and that he underwent surgery on the nose only, and he was not aware of the published photo.

After confirming the falseness of the claim of Turkish citizen Mehmet Bashir, the police arrested him at their station in Konya, on charges of inciting against Syrian refugees in Turkey, before releasing him hours later.

Bashir said in his testimony: “My friend had surgery on his nose and sent me his picture, and while I was browsing on social media, I saw a post about the Syrians in one of them, so I shared my friend’s picture on the post for the purpose of entertainment, but then my friends warned me, and I removed it after 10 minutes. “.

This news comes in light of the increase in the campaigns of incitement and hatred practiced by political figures in the Turkish opposition to inflame the street against the refugees for the sake of political gain.
