Turkish Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu Praises the Successes Achieved by Syrian Students in Turkish Universities
Turkish Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu met with 21 outstanding Syrian students studying at Turkish universities in the Turkish capital, Ankara.
Soylu said during the meeting held in the ministry building, that the Turks and the Syrians had always lived in brotherhood on the same geographical spot: “We lived together in the same geography for years, we were never far from each other, we lived as people from the same neighbourhood, and the people of the neighborhood always needed each other.“
Addressing the students, Soylu stressed the importance of not forgetting the past and said: “Let us never forget our past, how we were, how people before us lived, and what difficulties they went through.”
Speaking to the students, Soylu referred to the events taking place in Syria: “We do not accept any of these events in Syria, we did not and will not accept them, and you are not only responsible for yourselves, but also bear the responsibility of the rest of the Syrians, and you become a role model and an example for your nation.” .
He continued, “We have no doubt that you will crown your success with this understanding. You are a role model, not only for future generations, but for us as well.”
Last May, Syria TV website monitored more than 30 Syrian graduates from various Turkish public universities (131 universities), who achieved first ranks and highest averages, whether in their faculties and departments or at the university level, during this academic year (2021-2022).
