Turkish merchants confirm their rejection of Umit Ozdag’s calls to expel the Syrians
Turks’ merchants have expressed their rejection of calls by the extremist racist politician Umit Ozdag to expel Syrian refugees.
Turkish merchants in the southern Turkish city of Kilis expressed their rejection of the calls of Umit Ozdag, head of the anti-refugee “Zefar Party”, to deport Syrian refugees from the country.
The merchants affirmed that they are not harmed by the presence of the Syrians in Turkey, as “Ozdag” promotes through lies and fabrications.
The Turkish newspaper, Cumhuriyet, reported earlier that the return of Syrians to their country or emigration from Turkey is disturbing employers who rely on Syrians as cheap labor, especially in Istanbul.
Turkey has recently witnessed a large wave of migration of Syrian refugees from its lands towards Europe, due to the growing feelings and crimes of racism against Syrians in Turkey.
