Refugees are the Most Law-abiding People in Turkey
Turkish Interior Minister Suleiman Soylu revealed an analysis of the murders committed in Turkey, where the average crime rate among Syrians was half lower than that of Turks.
Soylu said in a television interview that the crime rate among Turkish citizens was 2.2%, while the crime rate among Syrians in Turkey was 1.3%, which is less than the rate among Turkish citizens by about 50%.
The Minister of the Interior added that compared to the crime rate in Germany, the rate reached 33 percent in Germany alone. The interior minister accused the opposition of exaggerating the numbers and demonizing refugees for political gain. Stressing that manipulating these numbers “will only lead to turning people against each other.”
